In fact, I am a very talented Gryffindor! Watch my magic tricks on today’s TeXtra Halloween Special. It is also on YouTube if you prefer that interface.

Happy Halloween!

This 60 Minutes piece on a cure for starving children in Niger is really amazing! Find it here.

This is just another example of some of the great work that Doctors Without Borders does. Please consider donating to them. I don’t think you can decide if your money buys these children Plumpynut or if it helps Darfur refugees but in my opinion, it is better to just give to Doctors Without Borders and let them allocate the money so that they can keep doing the amazing work that they are doing. This article about taking risks comes from Cnet’s Steve Tobak. Well said, Steve! Well said, indeed.

I am heading back for the final day of the Web 2.0 Summit. For my news coverage of Day 2 with PC Magazine, click here.

I survived and actually did get my lazy butt to a networking party. It was a really fancy MySpace party. I am super impressed with myself for not opting out and heading straight for my couch to watch Dancing With The Stars on my DVR. Here is a photo to prove that I actually was there, taken from my Nokia N95:

I also covered the event for PC Magazine. My story is here.

Off to bed now…

I went on Desert Island Geek a few weeks ago. I’m still not sure I am happy with my three picks but I stand by them! Click here to listen:

Here is a story I wrote this summer. I didn’t know it was published online until just now. It was my first time interviewing royalty, although it was over email. Still, it gives me a chance to write about something other than technology for a change!

My little sister is 26 today! My parents and I bought her a MacBook. I hope she likes it!

pcmag.jpgI took three trains to get to the Future of Wep Apps conference yesterday. It was surprisingly good. I tend to get so tired of Web 2.0 conferences in San Francisco but I really liked this one. Maybe because it was in London. :)

See my coverage of the event for PC Magazine here.

This story claims that half of the world’s languages will be extinct by the end of the century. I’d better start learning Chinese!

Listen to this clip of a man speaking a language called Magati Ke. Why can’t Google Language Tool translate this into English?
